About The White Bath Ceremony
The color white is often associated with purity, clarity, and higher consciousness. In a white spiritual bath, the color white is used to symbolize the purifying and cleansing properties of the practice.
The ingredients used in a white spiritual bath can vary depending on the intention and purpose of the bath. These ingredients are believed to have properties that can help remove negative energy, cleanse the aura, and promote spiritual growth. This blend reflects Raven’s favorite recipes for this bath.
Recommended for:
Raven asserts that this bath is your go-to solution when you are experiencing any of the following:
- Feeling spiritually and emotionally “clouded”
- Emotional Release from trauma, unhealthy relationships, negativity, and more
- Emotional Support needed after trauma, a breakup, or any significant loss during stressful times
- Purification and Re-aligning your focus
- Embracing Self-love and Self-compassion
Intention is paramount with this bath. Be clear about your goals—whether you feel clouded, confused, or if you require emotional release. This bath offers profound nurturing and support. After your bath ceremony, take a shower to rinse off any excess milk. Raven recommends coconut milk for this bath (some practices will use other types of milk – which you choose is up to you). Coconut possesses antibacterial, antifungal, and antioxidant properties, enhancing the cleansing benefits of your experience. It aids in wound healing and reduces inflammation, making it ideal for treating ulcers. This means that coconut milk serves as a powerful energetic remedy, helping you feel revitalized and heal any energetic wounds you carry.
Raven's White Bath Ceremony
What you will need for this Bath:
- Abluo Bath Blend (half of the container)
- 1 cup of Coconut milk
- 2 cups of fresh WHITE rose petals (generally about 6 roses – they do need to be white!)
- Crystals that support your goals (optional)
- Candles for lighting and relaxing music
- Kitchen fine mesh strainer with a handle
- A cup of tea (lemon balm and chamomile are good options – or your favorite herbal tea) or cacao for the end of your ceremony (do not pour until your ceremony is finished)
- Be sure to read the entire ceremony before you start!
The Ceremony
- Call in your directions and create a sacred space for your ceremony.
- Turn off the overhead lights and use candles as a source of lighting. Turn on the music you selected. Good music for this is relaxing spa sounds or singing bowls. You can also choose music that holds special meaning to you and is related to what your ceremony is about.
- Begin to fill the tub. The water should be warm, and as the tub fills, charge the water with your intention for your bath. You may want to focus on releasing hurt feelings, grief, anxiety, depression, or even blockages that you may feel are keeping you from moving forward. If you are looking for extra support, focus on the bath as a soothing emotional “balm” to use as needed.
- Add the Abluo Bath Blend and use your hands to mix it well with the tub water.
- Take the cup of pure coconut milk in your hands. Close your eyes and visualize that this is the medicine you need to soothe your wounds. This will cleanse where needed, purify where required, and nourish your entire being. Pour the milk into the water and mix it with your hands.
- Next, take your fresh rose petals and begin to drop them into the water. These represent the concerns, issues, and feelings that you want to heal. Rose is a superb heart healer and can provide support, help you cultivate self-love, mend hurt feelings, release trauma, and more. Once they are all in the water, use your hands to mix them well in the bath.
- If you decide to add crystals, you can place them around the tub, program them with your intention, and then add them to the tub. If any of them are in the quartz, jasper, or agate family, you can also drop them in the water to help charge the water (do not drop any other type of crystal in the water!).
- Step into your bath and settle in. Close your eyes and visualize the bath water as a pure white light that penetrates every part of you, healing, releasing, and purifying. If tears come, let them flow freely, as this is a powerful energetic release for you.
- Stay in the bath for at least 20 minutes, and during that time, focus on the feelings and thoughts you want to explore. If you begin to feel sad or angry, release it into the water. Do not hold on to these feelings during your ceremony. If you feel hurt, empty, or emotionally “cut”, feel the milk, herbs, and roses coming in to soothe you and fill in the gaps where needed.
- When you’re finished, step out of your bath. Use the mesh strainer to strain out the larger pieces of herbal material (including rose petals) from the water before draining the tub. I generally put this debris in the toilet so it can also be released through water. It is all natural organic matter and should not clog your toilet.
- Once you have strained the bath, open the tub drain and observe as the bath water drains away. As you do that, visualize everything that you released into the water being released – the anger, the sadness, the pain, all of it. Everything that held you back has been released into that water, and you are now returning it to the earth. Watch as all of the water empties from the tub.
- When the tub is empty, turn the water back on and run it as hot as it will allow for at least 5-10 minutes. This serves two purposes: first, it helps push the bath water further down into the drain to prevent clogging. Second, this is the time I use for gratitude to the water element for providing me with the opportunity to perform this healing, for bringing in the liquid light, and also for taking away everything I wanted to release.
- Next, go to the toilet and flush the herbal debris. Just as you did with the tub, visualize this taking away everything you wanted to release. Then flush the toilet a second time, and just as you did with the tub, give gratitude to the water for supporting you in your journey.
- Step into the shower to rinse off any herbal product still on your skin. As you did when releasing the tub water, visualize this rinse as the final release of everything that you no longer need. Visualize the water from the shower as a white light, just as you did with the water in the tub, now coming in not to soothe, but to energize and to help push you into a new beginning.
- Release the directions you called in at the start of the ceremony, and cap the night off with a cup of cacao, chamomile, or lemon balm tea.
- Journal for the next 3-4 days after the bath, as well as new insights that come to you. Please ensure that you document any actions you took and how they made you feel.
Your bath jar has enough for 2 bath ceremonies. I recommend taking a second bath about two weeks after the first one:
- You will need the same things you needed for the first ceremony.
- This time, be sure to read what you journaled after the first ceremony and the days that followed it. Did you take action? If you did, how did it go? If you didn’t, why not? What stopped you from taking those actions? What feelings, hurts, and issues are still lingering from the first ceremony?
- These lingering issues are the ones you should focus on in the second ceremony. What is behind those issues? Perhaps there is a deeper part of yourself that wasn’t ready to engage when you took the first bath, but may be prepared to engage now. This is the part you want to connect with now.
- Repeat your bath ceremony.
- After your bath ceremony, while you are enjoying your cup of tea or cacao, journal again. What new insights came to you this time? What further actions do you want to take? How do you feel compared to how you felt after the first bath?
- After the next few days, take the actions you had decided to take and journal as you did the 3-4 days after your first bath ceremony. How do you feel this time around? What are the main differences you are noticing?
A white bath can have a profound difference in your life, but this can only happen when you follow through with the actions you decided to take. Sometimes, these changes are profound and can take time, so give yourself a break if you don’t feel you accomplished everything you wanted to in your first two rounds. Journaling is critical, as it can provide valuable insights into where your stumbling blocks may lie and the areas in which you are struggling.
