Astrophyllite is a very rare stone, sometimes referred to as black Labradorite although the two are not related. It was first discovered in 1854 in Norway and it's name is deived from the Greek words astron meaning "star" and phyllon meaning "leaf". Astrophyllite is usually opaque to translucent, but may be transparent in thin specimens.

Just like Labradorite it is a power stone, which allows you to access inner knowledge and find your life's path and purpose. It is a fantastic stone to meditate with and for all types of past lives and Akashic Records work. It is also said to assist in astral travel and to help those trying to open channels with other beings.
