Chalcedony is a cryptocrystalline form of silica, composed of very fine intergrowths of quartz and moganite.. It occurs in many different forms, colors, and patterns, and many varieties have been used as gemstones since antiquity. In the gemstone trade, the term Chalcedony is often used specifically to describe the white, gray, or blue translucent type of Chalcedony, but its technical term includes all additional varieties.
Chalcedony is a soothing and calming stone. It works very well for meditative spaces and for sleep. This is a great stone to place in children's rooms if they have anxiety, since it's energy is very gentle and it pairs well with Rose quartz. Spiritually, it can aid in opening your connections to your higher self.
