About UV Agate (Volcanic Agate)

UV agate, also known as volcanic agate, is a type of agate that exhibits a striking fluorescence under ultraviolet (UV) light, often appearing bright green. This fluorescence is due to the presence of UV-reactive minerals within the agate, which are usually found in cavities within volcanic rocks. UV agate forms similarly to other agates, through the deposition of minerals in cavities within volcanic rocks. The key difference is the presence of UV-reactive minerals, which may include uranium. The term "volcano agate" is sometimes misused to describe UV-reactive agate, as the agate forms after the volcanic activity.

UV agate has similar properties to regular gray agate; however, the addition of the UV component, generally Uranium, adds a potent dose of Uranus energy to this crystal.
