Fluorite is also called Flourspar, is a wonderful little stone in the Halide family. Its name is due to it's fluorescense (under UV light it glows!). It comes in a variety of colors, and many times there are many different colors in the same stone! Fluorite can come in green, purple, yellow, pink and even blue!

Fluorite has fantastic healing properties! When paired with clear quartz it makes for a very powerful combination. It also is a wonderful stone for meditation (especially one with a lot of purple on it) and to opens up your third eye. It encourages clear thinking and helps improve concentration. It also absorbs and neutralizes negative energies and is an excellent stone to carry with you when trying to turn your life around or rid yourself of negativity.
