Jasper is an aggregate of Quartz and Chalcedony. It is an opaque, impure variety of silica, and can usually be red, yellow, brown, black or green in color. The most common is red, with is due to iron inclusions. Brecciated Jasper happens when in the formation process, the stone splits apart and then heals itself later, however adding inclusions of different colors.
As with all Jaspers, Brecciated Jasper is a great stone for protection. Brecciated Jasper in particular is good for all types of healing, especially those suffering from long term illness. It's energy supports stamina and constitution. Brecciated Jasper generally works well in the lower chakras.
