Ocean Jasper(also called Orbicular Jasper) is a relatively new crystal to be discovered, it was first found in the early 1920s but did not make it to market until the early 2000’s as the original location was lost for a long time. Ocean Jasper made its first debut in 2000 at the Tuscon Gemshow. Ocean Jasper comes in a variety of colors and patterns, the most district feature being the circular bubbles that cover the surface. But any piece you get will be unique! It is considered a very rare crystal formation as it is only found on the coasts of Madagascar, and can only be mined during Low Tide as it is usually found underwater along the cliffs. There are only two known mines that Ocean Jasper comes out of.

Ocean Jasper is formed with chalcedony and quartz inclusions, because of this it is a very tranquil crystal that can help you connect to the serenity and power of Water and Ocean magic. It is perfect for those that need a little bit of stability or emotional release. This crystal can help banish negativity from your life and is an excellent crystal to protect you from toxicity, whether it’s toxic energy or toxic people.

Jasper is an aggregate of Quartz and Chalcedony. It is an opaque, impure variety of silica, and can usually be red, yellow, brown, black or green in color. Ocean Jasper is a variety of Jasper that contains orbs and spherical zones. As with most jaspers this is a fantastic protection stone. Ocean jasper protects against negativity and other lower vibrational energies directed at you from others around you. It works very well to guard against envy and even to help protect you against negative attachments. Be sure to cleanse this stone often (about once every 2 weeks) as it tends to become saturated fairly quickly.
